This is an old original copper & brass radiator with a continued flat fin core. The radiator is off of a 1939 Cadillac LaSalle which has a flathead V8 engine. Because the flathead V8 engine has two water coolant outlets on the top is why the radiator has two top radiator hose connections. We completely disassembled this radiator so we could ultrasonic clean the core and blast the top and bottom tanks and side brackets inside and out. The tubes or cores were all plugged solid internally. Once we got the tanks and tubes of the core all cleaned out we reassembled the radiator by soldering the connections, tanks, and side brackets all back together. We then did a light pressure test on the radiator to make sure it doesn’t leak before we gave it a fresh paint job. Since the radiator was shipped to us from an out of state customer we had to package the radiator safely in a crate and ship it back to our customer.
