This is a copper and brass radiator out of a 1940 Ford coupe with a flathead V8 engine that wouldn’t stay cool and kept overheating. Once we got the radiator apart and removed the tanks from the core the tubes were extremely plugged internally. We boiled the core out in our ultrasonic cleaning tank and then we rodded out each tube of the core. The inlet and outlet tanks were media blasted inside and out. We also re-ran the top and bottom headers which involves removing or melting all the solder around every tube where they go through the header plates and then re-soldering around every tube and building them up with new solder. We then solder the top and bottom tanks back onto the radiator core. Once we get the radiator all soldered back together we submerge it in our test tank for a pressure test to insure it has no leaks. The radiator is all clean inside and out now so it should keep its cool now and the flathead V8 engine should stop overheating.
