These are pictures of a cylinder block for a 1964 Lincoln 430 cubic inch V8 engine. In the pictures you can see that the cylinders have been bored for the new oversize pistons and rings which we did on our Rottler boring bar. The cylinders were finish honed to their final size on our Sunnen CK10 cylinder hone to give the proper piston-to-wall clearance. You can also see that the decks of the block have been surfaced and squared on our AMC surfacer mill. You can also see that the housing bore where the main bearings go has been align honed on our Sunnen line hone machine so that the main line of the block is true, straight, perfectly round, and on size. You can also see that we have installed all the freeze plugs as well as the brass water coolant diverters into the front of the block. The cylinder block is mounted to one of our engine stands and it is setup in our assembly room and ready for final engine assembly.
