This is a 401 Buick Nailhead block that came into the machine shop for crack repair. The block was cracked on both deck surfaces from the head bolt holes into the coolant jacket areas. We machined the cracked head bolt holes for and installed some Lock-N-Stitch Full-Torq thread repair inserts. The Full-Torq inserts feature an angled thread on their OD which pulls the surrounding material that they thread into securely into the insert holding it tight and secure.
