Here’s some pics of some Sealed Power TRW forged pistons for a 454 big block Chevy high performance engine. In the 2 pics with the clay on the pistons you can see that the clay is pretty thin at the deepest area of the intake valve releif pocket. In the other two pics you can see that we had to fly-cut the intake valve releifs an additional .050 in order to get the proper valve-to-piston clearance.
