This is a Ford FE V8 gasoline engine that we rebuilt. The engine came in as we perform complete engine rebuilding at our fully equipped machine shop located in Las Vegas, Nv. The engine in these pics is considered a longblock engine assembly since it isn’t quite complete. The intake manifold however is torqued in place and the oil pan & timing cover are installed. We performed all machine work to the block, crank, rods, and cylinder heads as well as balancing the crankshaft & rotating assembly. This engine is actually a 360 cubic inch truck engine. Our customer requested a 9.5:1 compression ratio so we had to do some extensive surfacing and milling to the decks of the block. This then required us to machine, mill, and surface both sides of the intake manifold in order to get it to mate up and seal correctly to the cylinder heads. Once we got the valvetrain all setup we then had to measure for the correct length pushrods. Once we determined what length pushrods we needed we ordered a custom length set from Manton Pushrods. We will be running this engine in on one of our engine run test stands to ensure everything is functioning properly as well as to break-in the camshaft and set the timing.
