This is a Freightliner Cascadia class 8 tractor semi truck radiator that came in for a repair. The aluminum radiator core suffered damage from the fan and debris. The top and bottom tanks, which some people refer to as caps, are plastic. The top plastic radiator tank was broken and cracked from the debris that hit it. So we had to aluminum weld some of the tubes of the core that were damaged and ripped apart. We also ordered a new top plastic radiator tank so we could remove the original broken top tank and install the new top tank and gasket. While we had the top tank off we also rodded out all the tubes and flushed the radiator out to make sure it was nice and clean. Once we got the radiator all back together we pressure tested it to make sure it doesn’t leak. For all your cooling system, radiator, and heat transfer needs give us a call or stop by.
