This is a Radiant Universal base burner cast iron antique stove that we restored. This stove came in with numerous cracks and wear. We completely disassembled the entire stove and then thermal cleaned and shotblasted each cast iron piece. We ended up with over 30 cracks that we had to weld and repair. Once we got all the pieces welded we then had to engrave / grind all the engraving back into place that was in the welded areas. We then took all the pieces that required nickel plating to our plating company Verne’s Chrome Plating in California. All the other cast iron parts that didn’t require nickel plated we painted with a high temperature BBQ’er thermal black paint. Once all the pieces were finished in nickel and black paint we assembled the complete stove to complete the stoves restoration. These stoves are referred to as base burner stoves, oak burner stoves, coal burner stoves, cast iron stoves, wood burning stoves, and antique stoves.
