This is an all metal copper and brass old antique classic radiator out of a 1939 Cadillac limo that has a flathead V8 engine. We completely disassembled the radiator in order to perform a complete radiator restoration and rebuild. Once the radiator components were all disassembled the radiator tanks, hose connections, and radiator brackets were all thermal cleaned and sandblasted inside and out. The core was boiled in our ultrasonic cleaning tank before we actually stuck a rod down each tube to clear out each tube. Some people refer to this as coring the radiator or clearing the cores but we simply call it a radiator rod and repair. Once the radiator core, the tanks, hose connections, grill thermostat, and brackets were all cleaned we re-assembled the complete radiator with new solder. After this antique Caddy radiator was all assembled we pressure tested it in our test tank to make sure we had no leaks in the radiator. Once we got done pressure testing the radiator we gave it a nice satin black paint job.
