This is a 318 cubic inch Dodge Magnum V8 engine cylinder block, crankshaft, & pistons on the connecting rods that came in for machine work. After cleaning, magnafluxing for cracks, measuring, & inspecting the block, crank, & rods, we will proceed with the necessary machining. The machine work we will be doing is a bore and hone to all eight cylinders for fitment of the new oversize pistons and piston rings. We will recommend align honing the housing bore as well as decking the surfaces of the block. We will then press the old pistons off of the connecting rods so that we can resize and recondition the big ends of the rods. After the rods have been reconditioned we will hang the new pistons onto the connecting rods. Then we will polish and chamfer the rod and main journals of the crankshaft and finally we will install the cam bearings into the cylinder block.
