This is a 1964 Lincoln 430 cubic inch V8 engine that we are doing a complete engine rebuild on. As far as engine rebuilding goes we can and will rebuild any engine that comes through the door. The 430 Lincoln engine is similar to the Chevy 409 engine in that the combustion chambers are in the cylinder block above the cylinders rather than in the cylinder heads. The pictures here show the cylinders of the cylinder block that we have bored on our Rottler boring bar and then finished honed to size in our Sunnen CK10 cylinder hone. You can’t see it in these pictures but the main housing bore of the block where the main bearings rest has also been align honed in our Sunnen line hone machine. The picture of the connecting rods shows that we have shot blasted them in our Zero blast-N-peen shotblaster before we resized or reconditioned them with our Sunnen rod honing machine. Once we got the rods all sized up we balanced the rotating assembly and crankshaft with our Balance Tech crankshaft balancer since this engine rebuild is a fully balanced and blueprinted engine build. As can be seen in the picture we hung the new pistons onto the connecting rods and they are ready to be installed in the engine. The block is nice and clean as we thermal cleaned it in our Bayco oven and then also cycled it through our Zero shotblaster machine to bring it back to raw cast iron inside and out. Complete engine rebuilding, engine machining, and radiator service is our specialty with our fully equipped engine machine shop and radiator service center.
