Here’s some pics of a copper & brass radiator core we’re running the headers on. The radiator core is for a Caterpillar diesel genset unit. When we overhaul a radiator we run the headers which involves melting all the solder off the header plates where the tubes go through. Once the tubes & header plates are cleaned & free of all the old solder we then run, or melt, new solder around every tube to seal the tube-to-header joints.
