Here are some before, during & after pics of a rebuild we did to an MTU DS3250 standby generator radiator. This radiator consists of two radiators bolted together. One radiator half is the high-temp circuit & the other radiator half is the low-temp circuit. Each radiator half is comprised of six individual conventional type flat, or continued, fin radiator cores. That’s twelve radiator cores that each needed to be rebuilt & each core is slightly larger than a typical semi truck radiator core. After we got all twelve radiator cores rebuilt we made our own gaskets out of a cellulose fiber material which is compatible with petroleum based fluids including oils. This radiator cools an MTU 20-Cylinder 20V4000 diesel engine. This particular V20 engine is capable of producing as high as 5,766 horsepower. After each radiator half is assembled we pressure test each radiator half for one hour at low pressure & one hour at high pressure. After individual pressure testing is completed with no leaks detected the two radiators are bolted together to complete the dual circuit radiator assembly. For all your high horsepower diesel engine radiator & cooling system needs please don’t hesitate to give us a call or send an email.
