Here are some before, during & after pics of a Caterpillar 994F loader radiator we rebuilt for one of our open pit mining customers. This radiator is a MESABI with a little under a thousand individual radiator tubes. The lower left corner of the bottom tank was cracked & had been previously welded. After we got all the tubes & seals removed we ground all the old weld repair away & welded the cracked area with some reinforcements. There were a handful of tubes that needed to be replaced along with all new rubber grommet seals. After completing the rebuild we built a stand for it so it is standing tall & protected until it is installed for another round of service.
