Here are some pics of a Hitachi EX5600-7 shovel radiator we rebuilt. The radiator is a Mesabi with individual copper fins & tubes. Each tube was removed for cleaning, reconditioning & polishing. All the upper & lower rubber grommet seals were removed & the tanks cleaned & repaired as needed. The bottom tank was leaking at both ends where the mounting pads are located. The leaking areas of the bottom tank were prepped, welded & beefed up with reinforcements. All new rubber grommet seals were installed before stuffing all the Mesabi tubes back in the radiator tank & side frames assembly. A final pressure test to ensure there are zero leaks & the radiator is ready for another round of service.
