Here’s some pics of a Caterpillar 140M Grader Circle we have in for repair & reconditioning. The surfaces that the guide shoes & shims interface with are worn & scored. The surfaces are first machined & then welded up. After all the surfaces are built back up after welding the circle is mounted back on the VTL, vertical turret lathe, for final machining to size as well as smooth for a nice finish.
