Here’s some pics of a blade hanger, or bracket as Caterpillar calls it, for a 16M grader. Some people also refer to this piece as the carrier as it carries the blade & also contains the sideshift cylinder inside of it. The bores for the pins were worn out-of-round & spec. We setup our portable line bore machine & machined the bores oversize until they were perfectly round & true. We then setup our bore welder & welded the bores back to a smaller size. We then setup the line boring machine again & machined the bores to the proper specs for the new bushings.
