Caterpillar 793F Haul Truck Mesabi Copper Tube Grommeted Radiator Cleaning and Rebuilding

Here’s some pics of a Caterpillar 793F mining haul truck Mesabi Radiator going through our rebuilding process. Sometimes referred to as a CGT, Copper Grommeted Tube, radiator there are nearly eight hundred individual Mesabi radiator tubes in the 793F Radiator. Each Mesabi copper radiator tube is removed for cleaning & reconditioning. Each upper & lower rubber grommet seal is removed & new ones installed after the tanks, or steel manifolds, are cleaned & repaired as needed. Each Mesabi radiator tube is then reinstalled into the manifolds, or tanks, & then the pressure testing begins to ensure there are zero leaks.
