Here are some before, during & after pics of a radiator hardnose cooling package we rebuilt for a Caterpillar 834H wheel dozer. The Caterpillar modular AMOCS Radiator cores, or sections, were all constructed of brass. After cleaning & pressure testing all ten cores we ended up finding leaks in the tanks of three of them. The tanks were cracked. Since three of the brass tanks of the cores had developed cracks we recommended replacing all the cores as the other eight cores would most likely develop cracks & begin leaking before it was ready for the next PCR. Our customer agreed to have us replace all the cores with the Caterpillar updated aluminum cores which have thicker casted tanks. All the other cooling system components were cleaned, repaired & tested before reinstalling them back into the hardnose, or nosecone. The complete cooling package is like new & ready to be mounted on the machine & hooked up for a quick & clean install of the cooling system.
