Here’s some pics of a lean arm we have in for repair. The lean arm goes on each end of a grader front axle. This one is for an 18M Caterpillar grader. We first thermal clean & blast the these parts down to raw metal so we can dye check & magnflux them for cracks. After they pass the crack detection & inspection we machine, or bore, all the bores to make them perfectly true & round. We then weld the bores up with our automatic bore welder. We then machine the bores back to the OE specs for the fitment of new bushings & pins.
