Here’s some pics of an aluminum threaded fitting hose connection we fixed on an oil cooler we had in for repair. The threads on the original threaded bung were cross-threaded with a couple of threads stripped out. We machined a new threaded connection out of a piece of solid round aluminum stock. We then cut the damaged connection off the oil cooler & tig welded the new one we made in place. Some custom specialty machining got the oil cooler fixed & our customers machine back up & running.
