Here’s some pics of an aluminum heat exchanger that we did a complete overhaul to. This cooler is made with a heavy duty bar-and-plate type aluminum core. The tanks, which some refer to as end caps, are made out of a piece of extruded aluminum so they are very thick, strong & heavy. This cooler is made to operate in excess of 150 psi at operating temperature. We cleaned it inside & out, pressure tested it to locate the leaks, prepped & tig welded the compromised areas. We then pressure tested it to ensure it has zero leaks.
