Here’s some progress pics of a Mesabi radiator we are in the middle of rebuilding. The radiator is off of a motivator which is basically a large mobile, or portable, generator that provides power to electric shovels. The radiator came in for a cleaning as it was covered in oil from a leaking oil line. In addition to the fins of the tubes being nearly ninety percent plugged & blocked externally, several of the rubber grommet seals were swelled & softened from the oil contamination. A full rebuild was needed in order to bring the radiator back up to snuff for reliable service.
