Here are some pics of some parts we’ve been machining & working on for the Speed UTV’s. We have come up with our own version of a manual alternator belt tensioner. We only have a couple hundred miles on it right now but so far it appears to be holding up well & the belt is staying where it should be as the alternator is providing solid voltage output thus far. We’ve also built our own version of a CAC (Charge Air Cooler) or air-to-air cooler, radiator & engine oil cooler stack that is working phenomenal so far. The highest temp we seen for inlet air Temps so far is 93° with coolant temps regulating between 157° & 161° & the engine oil temps holding steady in the 180’s. This is with three 12 inch electric fans. We’ve only been testing without a windshield so far but it’s looking positive to start testing with a windshield installed. We’ve been seeing a fair amount of barrel shaped wear to the faces of the Primary & Secondary clutch faces, or sheaves, so we’ve been machining the clutches to provide a flat & smooth surface for renewed & improved belt engagement.
