Here are some pics of a Caterpillar 793C radiator going through our assembly process. All sixty of the #2W5540 Cat radiator cores, or sections, have been given a rod & repair before being individually pressure tested for leaks. After the radiator is completely assembled it will be pressure tested as a complete assembly.
This is a Caterpillar 793C folded core radiator that came in for rebuilding. This radiator has ran a cycled engine life so it is due for an overhaul to be mated to a freshly rebuilt engine. After a couple hours under pressure we'll get it dried off & dressed out with the shroud pieces & it'll be ready for delivery to one of our mine customers.
