This is a Toyota 13z diesel engine out of an FL620 forklift that came in for a rebuild due to a knocking noise. After disassembling the engine a blown head gasket was found along with a bent connecting rod. The rod bent due to coolant entering the cylinder from the head gasket failure. The coolant in the cylinder caused the engine to hydro-lock & the connecting rod bent from the extreme pressure from the coolant on top of the piston. The engine is rebuilt, or remanufactured, & ready for another round of service.
