This is a Hitachi 1200 Excavator radiator that came in for a complete rebuild and overhaul because the machine was running hot and overheating. This Hitachi radiator is out of an excavator which some people refer to as a track hoe. We got the Hitachi bolt together or bolt-on / bolt-up style radiator disassembled and we discovered that the tubes of the radiator were heavily plugged internally. In addition to severe internal blockage some of the fins had also lost their bond. Because of this it was recommended by us and agreed to by the customer to re-core the radiator with a new high efficiency 4-row core. So we thermal cleaned and blasted the top & bottom radiator tanks as well as the left & right side brackets & fan shroud. Once the tanks, brackets, & shroud were all blasted and cleaned up we prepped and painted them in Hatachi organe. Except the fan shroud we painted it gray to give the radiator some detail. Once we got the new radiator core ready to go we assembled the complete radiator assembly with new gaskets, bolts, nuts, & washers. After the radiator was all assembled we submerged the radiator in our test tank to give it a full and complete pressure test.
