This is a recent run we made to one of our mining customers up in northern Nevada. We picked up these two hydraulic oil coolers which are off of a Hitachi EX5500 shovel. The hydraulic system was overheating so they removed these hydraulic oil coolers and installed a set of our recored hydraulic oil coolers. In the background is one of the engines out of the same Hitachi EX5500 shovel. The Hitachi EX5500 shovel actually has and takes two of those engines and two sets of these hydraulic oil coolers. In the background on the right in the last picture is a Caterpillar 16G grader front axle assembly that we completely rebuilt. We had to weld, sleeve, and bore all of the pin holes for new pins. It’s sitting on our stand and ready for them to use whenever they need it. These hydraulic oil coolers are often leaking due to cracked tubes at the header plates so we usually end up recoring them. A recore involves cutting the tanks off of the old core then machining the tanks clean and to the proper dimensions and then welding them onto a new core. We usually keep a set or pair of these hydraulic oil coolers on hand and ready to go at all times.
