Here’s some before & after pics of a set of inline six cylinder John Deere 744E diesel engine connecting rods. The big ends of the rods were out-of-round & required resizing, or reconditioning. The small ends are tapered with bronze tapered wrist pin bushings & they were scored & worn. We pressed the old bushings out & pressed new ones in with our tapered wrist pin bore tooling. The gauge was set using the new wrist pins & the small ends, or wrist pin bushings, were honed to size on the Sunnen rod reconditioner.
