Here’s a couple of large mining equipment radiators for some large cooling modules. The orange radiator is a spare radiator for an Atlas Copco Pit Viper 351 Drill Rig. This radiator is comprised of two radiator halves. The radiator cores are similar to locomotive style radiators in that they are mechanically bonded. By utilizing mechanically bonded cores they are very strong and sturdy. Mechanically bonded radiator cores normally have a nearly one inch thick header plate which is extremely robust. The yellow radiator is our spare or swing 793C Caterpillar haul truck radiator that we keep on hand ourselves ready to go to exchange with our large mining customers. The 793C radiator is a Caterpillar folded core style radiator which means it has 60 individual radiator cores or sections. Once we disassemble these radiators each individual folded radiator core / section gets a rod and repair one by one and then pressure tested one by one before the entire radiator is assembled into one complete unit. Once the entire radiator is assembled we then submerge them in our test tank and they undergo one hour of pressure testing at low pressure and one hour of pressure testing at high pressure so the complete pressure test process on each radiator is a minimum of 2 hours. The Atlas Copco Pit Viper 351 drill rig radiator has two radiator cores that are made of copper and brass while the 60 Caterpillar folded core radiator cores / sections on the 793C radiator are made of steel. The Atlas Copco Pit Viper 351 drill rig radiator is sealed with custom Viton rubber gaskets that we make here in house at our machine and radiator shop that is located here in Las Vegas, Nv. in southern Nevada. Small radiator repair, medium radiator repair, or large radiator repair makes no difference to us. Each job is handled with the utmost care and pride is taken in every job we do.
