Here are some before & after pics of some cast iron & aluminum cylinder heads we had in for machining. The two cast iron heads are 350 Chevy Vortec heads that both magnafluxed good with no visual cracks. The surfaces were both warped & required milling the decks square & flat. The aluminum head is for a 944 Porsche. The Porsche head was warped as well as pitted & corroded. We set it up square & flat on our dual axis leveling fixture & machined the surface flat & square. The surfacing of all three of these heads was done on our Rottler EM105H Multipurpose CNC boring & milling machine to achieve the proper surface finish for both applications.
