Here’s some pics of a Caterpillar 18M Grader Axle we had in for rebuilding. In these pics the Axle is mounted on our Rottler CNC machine for boring, or machining, all the bores to make them perfectly round as well as give some room for welding. After the bores are round & true we weld the bores up with our portable bore welding setup. The axle is then mounted back on the Rottler CNC machine for final machining, or boring, of the bores to the proper size for the fitment of new pins & bushings where applicable.
