Here are some pics of a Caterpillar 18M3 grader circle, drawbar table and moldboard blade hanger bracket we did a complete repair & rebuild to. The main beams on the drawbar table were both cracked all the way through. We cut the main beams off, straightened the table & welded new beams in place. The circle drive motor was completely rebuilt with a new pinion gear, splined mainshaft, worm gear & clutch pack. The circle assembly had several teeth worn down to a point so we cut the bad teeth out & welded in six new segments of teeth. The moldboard blade hanger bracket was worn in the bores as well as the rectangle slots where the brass shims seat that the moldboard/blade slide in. So we machined the bores true & round & the rectangle slots true, flat & square. We then welded the bores & the surfaces of the rectangle slots up & then machined them back to spec. After we got the complete assembly all put back together we connected it to our hydraulic setup to test run all its functions to ensure it operates smoothly & as it should.
