Here are some before, during & after pics of a Caterpillar 854K hardnose radiator cooling package we rebuilt. The hardnose is off of an RTD which stands for Rubber Tire Dozer. Inside the hardnose, or nosecone, assembly are sixteen Caterpillar AMOCS aluminum radiator cores, three various oil coolers and two aftercoolers, or charge air coolers (CAC’s). Other parts that we addressed include the fan blade, or spider assembly, the hydraulic fan motor drive, the fan shroud & numerous hydraulic & coolant hoses, fittings & piping. Extensive prepping & welding to several cracks & damaged areas were taken care of as well.
