Copper Brass Radiator Rebuilding - Running The Headers - Motor Mission Machine and Radiator

Here’s a few pics of an all metal copper & brass radiator we are rebuilding. In these pics one of our radiator technicians is melting the solder off of the header plate at the tube-to-header joints. This is what we call running the headers. After all the old solder is removed & the area is all clean & shiny, we will run, or melt, new solder around every single tube in the header. This will seal & strengthen every tube where they reside in the tube slots of the header plate.
