Here’s some pics of an aluminum oil cooler that came in leaking for a quick turn-around repair. Drill rigs at the mines can’t be down long so when there isn’t a spare available to get the machine back in service time is of the essence. We picked this cooler up from our customer which is two hundred and fifty miles from us & had to get it back to the shop as quickly as possible. After getting it cleaned & flushed inside & out we first pressure tested it to locate the leaks. We then had to completely dry it off so we could prep it for & begin the tig welding to seal up the leaks. We then pressure tested the cooler after welding to make sure we fixed the leaks as well as to make sure it passed a rigorous pressure test procedure. We then loaded it back on the truck & delivered it back to our customer in less than forty eight hours.
