Here’s some before & after pics of an aluminum oil cooler we had in for cleaning & repairing. This cooler is for the compressor on an Epiroc D-65 drill rig. We first steam cleaned the cooler inside & out. It then gets soaked, or boiled, in our ultrasonic. After it’s completely clean inside & out we pressure test it to locate the leak, or leaks. We then tig weld the repair areas & then re-pressure test to make sure it has no leaks. A final cleaning & flushing along with a fresh coat of paint & it is ready for another round of service.
