Here’s some pics of a Hitachi EX5600-6 Shovel MESABI Radiator we did a complete overhaul rebuild to. After separating the high temp & low temp radiator halves all the tubes were removed for reconditioning. There are just over a thousand individual MESABI radiator tubes & each one gets a thorough cleaning inside & out and both ends buffed & polished before re-installing them into the new upper & lower rubber grommet seals. The connection side bottom tank was cracked & leaking at both ends so we had to do some extensive fabrication work & welding to beef it up & seal the leaks. After all the reconditioned tubes are installed with the new seals each radiator half is pressure tested to ensure there are zero leaks. Final assembly of bolting the two radiator halves together & mounting the completed radiator assembly to our radiator stand & it’s ready for another round of service.
