Here’s some pics of a couple of Cat equipment parts we rebuilt & delivered back to one of our mine customers. The tank is a fuel tank for a Caterpillar D10T dozer. It came in leaking with some cracks & broken baffles inside of it. We cleaned the tank up inside & out, opened it [...]
Here’s some before & after pics of a radiator out of a 2250 Manitowoc crawler crane. The radiator core is a mechanically bonded, or MB, type unit which is common for locomotive radiator applications. We disassembled the radiator & did a complete rod & repair overhaul. Motor Mission Machine & Radiator 5435 Desert Point Dr. [...]
Here's some pics of a conventional sectional core radiator for a Komatsu shovel we rebuilt. The radiator is comprised of a low-temp half & a high-temp half which is basically two radiators to make up the complete assembly. The cores of the radiator are conventional type with flat continued fins in an MB (mechanically bonded) [...]
Here’s some pics of an International, or Navistar, Maxxforce diesel cylinder head we did a valve job & surface rebuild to. The original head had multiple cracks in most of the cylinders. We ended up exchanging the head with this one. This head has some dings on the surface which are due to some valves [...]
Here’s some pics of an aluminum oil cooler we had in for repairing & rebuilding. The cooler is an all aluminum bar-and-plate heat exchanger that came off of an Epiroc drill rig. The cooler came in leaking due to some cracked tubes. We cut the tanks off the original core & then machined them to [...]
Here's some pics of a 3406 Caterpillar cylinder head we rebuilt. The 3406 is one of the most popular diesel engines we've done machine work to over the years. The cylinder head was disassembled, cleaned, magnafluxed for cracks, fully inspected & pressure tested before any machine work was done. After everything checked out okay the [...]
Here’s some pics of a couple heavy duty industrial bolt-on radiators we are rebuilding with new cores. The radiator with the crankhole in the core is for a garbage truck. The new radiator core with the blank headers is for a diesel pusher RV motorhome. Recoring both radiators with new heavy duty cores was recommended [...]
We're in the process of rebuilding an 18M Caterpillar Grader Circle & Drawbar assembly. These pics are of the disassembled circle drive motor. The pinion gear is broken, or shattered, into multiple pieces. It's basically grenaded. The splined shaft which mates to & enagaes with the pinion gear has the splines completely stripped & wiped [...]
Here’s some pics of an aluminum charge-air-cooler, or aftercooler, we cleaned & repaired. This cooler is off of an Epiroc Pit Viper drilling rig. The cooler had some damage to it externally as well as some leaks which we fixed by tig welding. The brackets that had worked their way loose were tig welded back [...]
Here’s some pics of a Caterpillar part number 151-5747 Blade Stabilizer. It looks like an A-Frame & it is off of an 834H RTD, or rubber tire dozer. The two bores were badly worn & out-of-round. The inner & outer bores where the shaft rides were both extremely worn & out-of-round as well which allowed [...]
