Here’s some pics of a radiator & intercooler stack, or cooling package, for a Caterpillar 6060 shovel. Both the radiator & the intercooler came in with leaks in the tubes of the cores. Our customer agreed with our recommendation to recore both the radiator & intercooler with new heavy duty cores. The tanks were cut off the original cores then machined to size & welded to the new cores. A final pressure test on each unit to make sure they are leak free ensured they are ready for another round of service.
