Here are some before, during & after pics of a Caterpillar 793F haul truck fuel tank we repaired & rebuilt. The tank came in due to a major diesel fuel leak. We ended up replacing the entire side wall as it was so badly pitted & corroded that it was extremely thin & lost its integrity. We also installed a FuelActive Unit assembly which is designed to conserve fuel. After the tank was all reconditioned & tested good we fabricated & installed a muflap shield over the new wall we replaced to prevent mud from building up on the tank causing future rusting, corrosion & pitting.
