Here are some before & after pics of a Komatsu 830E-5 fuel tank we had in for a quick turn-around. The two larger sidewalls of the tank were blown up & bulged out from excessive pressure inside the tank. When these haul truck fuel tanks come in blown up like this it gets pretty extensive & involved to get them back into shape but our customer needed the tank back asap as another truck was down for fuel tank issues. We put our heads down & made a plan in an effort to get the tank fixed up & back to the mine site as quick as possible. Luckily our plan worked out & we were able to get the tank repaired with a complete rebuild & back to the mine site in record time for a fuel tank repair of this magnitude.
