Here’s some pics of a heavy duty aluminum oil cooler that we had in the shop for repair. The oil cooler came in leaking in the tubes of the core. A good & reliable repair required recoring this heat exchanger with a new heavy duty core. We cut the extruded aluminum tanks off the original core, machined them clean & to size which also preps them for tig welding to the new core. After we got the cooler all welded together as a complete oil cooler assembly we pressure tested it at high pressure to ensure it is leak free & ready for service.
