Here are some pics of a CEM (clean emissions module) for a Caterpillar 789 haul truck we had in for reconditioning. We completely disassembled the module & cleaned every piece inside & out. The heart of the CEM is the SCR Catalyst assembly which is the most critical piece to get clean of all the soot & build-up. The catalyst looks similar to a ceramic honeycomb circle which is where all the soot builds up which restricts the airflow of the module. After careful & thorough cleaning the module is now totally clean & ready for another round of service.
